UK Fleet Champions Awards 2022

Reflex Vehicle Hire has been nominated for two national awards in recognition of the company’s commitment to product and safety innovation.

The UK Fleet Champions Awards are organised by road safety charity Brake, which has been running the programme for more than a decade to showcase fleets and suppliers that put safety first.

Reflex is a finalist in the Fleet Safety Innovation Award, given to the fleet operator or supplier that has developed a pioneering approach to fleet safety in the past year. The business is also shortlisted for a Fleet Safety Product Award, which recognises the product that does the most to improve fleet safety through innovation.

The announcement comes as Reflex Vehicle Hire embarks on the biggest fleet technology investment in its history with the introduction of artificial intelligence-enabled driver behaviour monitoring.

The investment will see the entire 6,000-van fleet upgraded with new technology that is designed to keep commercial vehicle drivers and other road users safe.

Using artificial intelligence, customers can use our new Flexicampro system, part of the Driive with Reflex modular risk management programme, to identify on-road risks and behaviour that could increase the chances of a crash occurring.

This covers a range of in-cab risk factors, such as hand-held mobile phone use, along with external risks, including drivers running red lights. 

The system includes an instant alert feature that is triggered in the event of an incident to keep fleet managers informed of risks on the road.

Reflex has been a pioneer in promoting risk management since its launch, as part of a ‘safety-first vehicle hire’ commitment, which ensures that fleet customers have access to the same levels of risk reduction resource as they would in their owned fleet.

All commercial vehicles also have speed limiters to increase fleet safety further.
